Improve access, safety and achieve greater independence within the home environment

Tulip Occupational Therapy is qualified to prescribe home modifications, assistive technology and equipment that are specific to your needs, mobility levels and individual characteristics.

After a thorough assessment, our occupational therapists may suggest home modifications to help you manage everyday living in and around your home. 

Home modifications could include:

• Redesigning a bathroom
• Altering a kitchen
• Widening doorways
• Automated doors
• Installing smoke alarms
• Relocation of electrical points and fittings
• Prescription of appropriate flooring options
• Installation of hoists
• Installing handrails
• Modifying steps, ramps and access pathways
• Installing a stair lift

Tulip Occupational Therapy will assist in developing, improving, sustaining or restoring independence. We will meet with you in your home, work out what you require and write a report making recommendations.
